Landlord EICR

In England, private landlords must have the electrical installation in a rented home inspected and tested by a qualified and competent person at least every five years, and give a copy of the report to tenants within 28 days. New tenants should receive a copy before they move in, and the local authority can ask to see it. We carry out that inspection for landlords with homes in and around High Wycombe.

The inspection covers the consumer unit, circuits, accessories and earthing and bonding. Each observation is coded C1, C2, C3 or FI and explained in plain English, so you can see what must be done, what is recommended and why. If the report is unsatisfactory, the regulations expect remedial work or further investigation within 28 days, or sooner if the report says so, and written confirmation to the tenant and local authority once it is complete.

Remedial work is always quoted separately, so you can decide who carries it out. If we do it, we re-test the affected circuits and provide the written confirmation you need. We only work on domestic properties.
