Electrician in Chinnor

Chinnor, under the Chiltern escarpment, is the far end of the area we name for repairs, and we reach it from High Wycombe on weekday visits. It is a large village, and we cover the whole OX39 area for domestic electrical work.

Homes in Chinnor

Much of Chinnor is 1960s and 1970s estate housing, with older cottages and modern infill in between. The estate homes are at the age where original circuits and boards are often showing their years: no RCD protection, not enough sockets in kitchens, and lighting circuits that have been extended by previous owners in ways that are hard to follow.

What we usually do here

Repairs are the core of our Chinnor work. That means tracing why an RCD keeps tripping, finding the cause of dead sockets, replacing faulty switches and light fittings, and making safe anything scorched or damaged. Where a fault points to a wider problem, we explain it in plain terms and quote for the fix. Board upgrades and EICRs follow naturally from that.

Older cottages in the village get the same careful approach. We isolate safely, test before touching anything, and try to reuse existing cable routes where they are sound, so a small repair does not turn into unnecessary damage to walls or ceilings.

Practical answers

My RCD trips and will not stay on. Can you help?
Yes. Leave it off, unplug appliances on that circuit, and call 07848 007564 so we can find the fault.
Do you offer an emergency call-out?
We do not run a 24-hour service. We work weekdays 08:00 to 17:00 and fit urgent faults in where we can.
Will you tell me if a repair is not enough?
Yes. If a fault suggests a bigger issue, we explain what we found and quote before doing more.
