Didcot Electrical Condition Reports

A methodical EICR service for Didcot residents — booked in properly, tested on the day and certified before we leave site.

Didcot sits within easy reach of A4130 and A34, and we're regularly working in and around Wallingford, Abingdon and Wantage. That means we can usually get to a Didcot address within the same working week without asking a customer to hold a diary for a month. Our scope here is strictly domestic — houses, flats and small annexes.

What we look at during the inspection

  1. 1

    Book a slot

Most EICRs take 3–4 hours for a typical family home. We'll agree a start time that lets us finish in one visit.

  2. 2

    Inspect and test

We open the consumer unit, sample accessories on each circuit, and record insulation, continuity and RCD readings.

  3. 3

    Report

You receive a signed EICR by email with a schedule of test results and any C1, C2 or FI observations explained in plain English.

Talk to a local electrician

We're based in High Wycombe HP11 and regularly working in Didcot and the surrounding Wallingford and Abingdon area. Small firm — you'll speak to the person doing the EICR.

Questions we get asked most

What if you find C1 or C2 issues?
You'll get a full explanation, a written quote for remedials, and — for C1 — we make the fault safe on the day where practical.
Is an EICR the same as a PAT test?
No — an EICR covers the fixed installation. PAT covers plug-in appliances and isn't part of an EICR.
Will the power be off?
Circuits are isolated one at a time as we test. Total power-off is usually only a few short windows.
Will you sign off work someone else did?
We can inspect and report on it, but we won't put our name on an installation certificate for work we didn't carry out.
